For more than 35 years, AACPS and the Anne Arundel County Food Bank have partnered for Harvest for the Hungry: Kids Helping Kids—an October food and funds drive that supports children and families throughout Anne Arundel County.

How can you help?

• Donate funds online — select Davidsonville Elementary so our school gets credit!

• Donate large, sturdy boxes — these will be set up in the main hallway during Spirit Week, the last week of October (empty boxes can be dropped off at school starting Monday, September 29).

Anne Arundel County Public Schools staff will conduct a public briefing on the four Phase 2 redistricting proposals that the Board of Education has voted to move forward. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mark Bedell is seeking input from students, families, employees, and community members as he considers whether to recommend to the Board of Education a change to this year’s school calendar that would eliminate six early-dismissal days and provide additional grading time for teachers, as well as professional learning opportunities for other employees. Submit the survey by October 1.
