Volunteer Appreciation Celebration

Please join us on Thursday, June 4 from 8:15-9:00am in the DES Media Center and Courtyard for a morning of appreciation and light refreshments as we celebrate YOU—our incredible volunteers—who help make DES a stronger, more vibrant school community.

Help Shape Next Year’s PTO Plans

We want to hear from you! The PTO is planning fundraisers, community events, and school support for next year — and your input will help us focus on what matters most to our families.

This quick 3–5 minute survey covers what to keep, what to improve, and new ideas for next year.

Rockin Recess (PBIS School Reward)

Rockin' Recess is back! 

Come join us Friday, June 5 as we celebrate positive behavior at our school. There will be music, bubbles, yard games, temporary tattoos, and more! Parents are invited to get in on all the action for this event and plan to take an active part in all of the fun games and activities available. 

*Parents must sign in at the front office before joining.*

Black-eyed Susan Reading Celebration

On Tuesday, June 2 from 1:20 - 2:15pm Mrs. Kaiser will be hosting an ice cream social in the media center for students who successfully completed the Black Eyed Susan Reading challenge with her this school year. 

A few parents are needed to help set up, scoop ice cream, and clean up. Click here to sign up to help!

DAA Fall Sports

DAA is excited to announce that registration for the Fall 2026 sports teams has begun!

Field Hockey early bird pricing ends tomorrow, June 1. Don’t miss your chance to register at a discounted rate!  All registration info is available on the DAA Field Hockey homepage. 

Youth Development and County Soccer registration will be open June 1 - July 31 (early bird discount June 1 - June 30!)  All registration info is available on the DAA Soccer homepage.

Under the Stars Musical Celebration

The Annapolis High School Music Department is excited to invite the community to its annual outdoor celebration, “Under the Stars,” on Tuesday, June 2, from 5-8pm in the AHS Bus Loop. (Click the flyer for more info)

This family-friendly, musical arts celebration will showcase the creativity and dedication of AHS, Bates MS, and AMS student musicians in a festive, open-air setting. Guests will enjoy live musical performances, food trucks, crafts, and games—creating a vibrant community atmosphere for all ages.

All are welcome!  Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of entertainment under the open sky.
