Teacher Appreciation Week is May 8-12

May 8-12, 2023, we will be celebrating Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week at DES, and we have lots of special things planned for our amazing DES teachers and staff! We are looking for some volunteers and donations to help with the week's events. Please sign up at this link to volunteer to donate - https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0d4da4a92da1fb6-desteacher3#/

This year's theme is that our DES teachers and staff make us Happy Campers! There will be lots of different ways to participate in celebrating our teachers and staff throughout the week.  Attached is a flyer with suggestions of ways you can join in the fun.  The first way your student can participate is to have your student complete the attached coloring page and thank you note for a teacher or staff member (or feel free to complete more than one!) and return to the school by May 8.  These will be displayed in the school throughout the week and given to the teachers and staff at the end of the week! Thank you for helping us to show our amazing teachers and staff appreciation for all they do for our school community!

Bus Driver Appreciation Day

The PTO celebrated our bus drivers on Tuesday, April 25th, with a token of appreciation. This is one of several special days we have set aside for our DES bus drivers this year.

Administrative Professionals' Day

The PTO showed our appreciation for our wonderful Administrative Professionals on Wednesday, April 26th. Thank you, Jackie, Amy, and Nikita, for all you do. We appreciate you!

DAA Travel Soccer Tryouts

Davidsonville Athletic Association is excited to announce the upcoming Travel Soccer Tryouts for Davidsonville Football Club (DFC)! Boasting some of the finest natural grass fields and coaching staff in the area, DFC provides players with an excellent framework to develop and achieve their goals in the game and beyond. DFC’s mission is to provide players with top-shelf soccer instruction, to compete at the highest levels, and to encourage the development of dynamic, multi-sport athletes.

Due to high demand, tryouts for all age groups will be extended over a period of two weeks from May 8th-18th. Specific dates and times for your child’s age group will be provided two weeks prior to the beginning of tryouts.

All players and parents will have the opportunity to meet the professionally licensed coaching staff. Staff members have playing experience at the collegiate and professional levels and boast successful coaching tenures as well as championship teams at the club, high school, and collegiate levels.

Tryouts are held free of charge and will take place on the Bermuda grass fields at Davidsonville Park for ages 2015 - 2005. Please use the following link to reserve your spot: https://daagators.org/_registration
