To make an online donation, please follow these instructions.

Social Media Poll

Please take a minute to answer this quick poll on which platform(s) you use for social media. We are looking to use this input to target and be more effective in where we post information. Thank you!

Custodian Appreciation Day

Last Monday, October 2nd, we celebrated our incredible custodians. Thank you to all the families who sent videos of their kiddos showing some love to our custodians. If you have not had a chance to watch the video, you can do so here
The PTO also gave a wonderful gift basket full of their favorite things and some other goodies due to the success of our No Fuss Fundraiser. Thank you again to all the families who contributed!

Fundraising
Rockin Recess

Rockin’ Recess was a great time! Thank you to all of the donors for helping us get the reward and to all of our wonderful volunteers. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Volunteer
We need you!

The PTO Volunteer Program is one of the best ways parents can support our school's students and staff. As a volunteer, you are playing to your strengths to help make our school better.

To learn about the many ways to be involved, click here to see a brief description of each volunteering area and indicate your preliminary interests.

Volunteers

To get involved, please check out the General SignUp Genius for the current volunteering opportunities. Be sure to navigate through the tabs to see all the current options!

Teacher's Elves is up and running!

If you would like to volunteer by making copies for teachers, sign up here! Please call before going into the school to make sure there are copies to be made that day!

Clubs

The PTO will launch a few clubs over the next several weeks. Please note that most clubs have limited space, and students will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. The DES PTO organizes most clubs but may have a 3rd party company provide instruction, etc.

Please be on the lookout for more information about the following clubs that will also be offered this fall:

  • Green School Club - Starting in November
  • Spelling Club
Martial Arts Club Registration is open!

The Martial Arts Club, featuring East Coast Martial Arts studio, will meet after school on Tuesdays, except for the December 6th meeting, which is on a Wednesday. Click here to register.

Families in need of financial assistance, please reach out to Colleen Isett at cisett@aacps.org.

Outdoors Club: Co-chair Needed!

A DES parent is interested in starting an Outdoors Club and is looking for a co-chair to run the club with her! This club would utilize the outdoor classroom space, explore the nature trail on school grounds, learn about plant identification, complete nature crafts, and more!

Please reach out to Brooke Zingler at vpvolunteers.pto.des@gmail.com if you are interested in helping get this club started!

Social
DES Movie Night is this Friday!

Come join us on October 13th for a 6:30 pm free showing of "The Super Mario Bros." movie on the baseball fields! Bring your own blankets or chairs.

In order to prepare and have enough snacks, we ask that families RSVP here. 🍿🧃

To prepay for pizza, click here for the order form. Let us take away the stress of planning dinner that night! 🍕

💵We will also have a cash-only 50/50 raffle! 💵

Please note: this is a family event, NOT a drop-off event!

We need volunteers for Movie Night!
