2023-2024 DES PTO Fundraisers
No-Fuss Fundraiser (September)
Are you a busy parent who wants to support the school, but work, practices, homework, dinners, lunches, etc., etc. make that difficult? If so, this is the fundraiser for you! This one requires nothing more than donating money to start the school year off right. If we can hit our fundraising goal early, then we can focus on what matters–supporting our children and the school in meaningful ways throughout the year.
Raise Craze - Fundraising Through Kindness (November)
Couldn’t everyone benefit from focusing on kindness? This fundraiser encourages just that. Similar to a Read-a-Thon, this fundraiser solicits pledges from family and friends for the children to pay it forward with acts of kindness. We will have some organized community service events for the kids to get an idea of how they can make an impact on the community and will encourage individual acts of kindness. The fundraiser will last for two weeks, but the kindness will continue throughout the school year with multiple opportunities for the kids to give back via service-learning projects. This is a great way to support our children in being the best version of themselves while raising money to support the D.E.S. Community.
Book Fair/Read Across America (March)
We will be having ONE book fair this year! The book fair will be in March and will focus on all things reading. We will have fun events to focus on the importance and joy of a good book, such as themed days at school and the very popular “Read Under The Stars” Event. Please consider supporting the book fair and associated events this year.
Gator Gallop (May)
The Gator Gallop includes a 5K, one mile for kids, Fun Run for kids, pre-race warm-ups, post-race refreshments, a Mascot chase, and much more! This is a great opportunity to get outside and active as a community while supporting D.E.S.
Skate Nights (September; November; February; and April)
Throughout the year, we will have FOUR Skate Nights at Skate Zone in Crofton. These are great events to have some fun with the D.E.S. community and meet your fellow Gators. Bring (or rent) your skates or scooters, and be ready for some Friday Night fun.
